Description

Take a trip along the Pocono Line to Tobyhanna, PA to explore the history of the local ice harvesting and blueberry industries which were dependent upon the railroad.  Riders will disembark at the Tobyhanna Train Station, a type W-103 frame structure built in 1908 and operated by the Pocono Rail Historical Society Inc., in conjunction with the National Rail Historical Society.  The station has an extensive display of railroad memorabilia of objects, photos, and actual equipment, offering a museum preserving rail history of our area and is the home of model train club.  There are four operating layouts of three different gauges, including one for younger children to operate.   The station serves as a gathering place where members, young and old, build and operate model trains, and a genuine museum experience can be enjoyed by all visitors.
