Description
Born in February, 1924, Margaret Truman Daniel was the only child of Harry and Bess Wallace Truman. Besides being a daughter, wife, mother, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend to many, she was an accomplished singer, recording artist, television personality, actress, and author.
At the time that her father died, Margaret Truman Daniel published a remarkable biography of him. "Harry S. Truman" is more than a loving portrait of a man by his daughter...much more. We'll take some time to discuss this book and why it is remarkable.
We will also watch some film clips showing Margaret Truman Daniel's love of her family home at 219 North Delaware. Mrs. Daniel was instrumental in the development of her family's home into a place of reflection and education for visitors today.
