To reach the light station grounds, there is a 1.5 mile hike (one way) from the Hurricane River Campground parking lot. Once on the tour, there will be a bit of walking on sandy soils, narrow sidewalks, and there are stairs to access the building.

You must be wearing shoes to enter the lighthouse. Children cannot be carried up the light house stairs, they must be able to go up and down on their own.
