Join us for a free community event at the KEDT Studio in Corpus Christi, TX. Padre Island National Seashore will have a booth set up as part of the event— we hope to see you there!
About the event: The KEDT Mister Rogers Red Sweater Kids Day event promises a morning filled with safety, fun, and education for all young guests and their families.
Discover a wide array of hands-on activities provided by 25 to 30 community organizations, tailored to educate and entertain children while providing informative booths for parents. It’s a unique opportunity for children to learn about their environment, meet local first responders, and even say hello to their favorite PBS characters, Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kitty Cat!
Moreover, our event emphasizes the importance of being a good neighbor and fostering community activism. This year, we’re thrilled to introduce community projects such as a donation station for the Coastal Bend Food Bank, a donation station for Corpus Christi Animal Care Services, and a chance to express gratitude to our First Responders through thank you letters.
