Description

A 28TH AMENDMENT?  PROGRAM (Located at Visitor Center, all day event)

When does a government initiative become an amendment instead of a federal law? What parts of the Constitution would you update? What existing amendments would you repeal?

Come to the Visitors Center to read the existing 27 Amendments and then take time to ponder and contribute YOUR 28th amendment ideas at this space for facilitated dialogue.

YOU DEBATE THE CONSTITUTION PROGRAM (Behind the Visitor Center: Saturday and Sunday 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM)

13 major sticking points of our new government need to be hammered out, and YOU have been chosen to attend our Constitutional Convention.

This program asks all participants to consider the major issues the Founders, Federalist and Anti-Federalist, debated at the Constitutional Convention, and then vote on what belongs in the constitution. Be sure to make your constitution BALANCED though, because you must produce a document that can survive a rigorous ratification fight.
