Superintendent Don Neubacher announced today that between April 21st and mid-June, Limantour Road will have temporary traffic delays from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm., Monday through Friday. This closure is needed to allow PG&E road crews to trench along the road and to complete work to underground power lines along this scenic stretch of the Seashore. The road will remain open without delays on weekends and holidays during this time period. Point Reyes National Seashore offers over 140 miles of hiking trails and over 80 miles of scenic coastline. Drakes Beach offers outstanding beach access and has a visitor center and cafe. Point Reyes Beaches North and South is a 12-mile stretch of beach with some access for dogs on leash. Please check at the visitor centers for more detailed information. Park visitors are encouraged to utilize any of these areas within the seashore during this construction period. -NPS- |
