Plan a trip to a National Park Service Site

Are you and your family interested in visiting a National Park Service site? Here are some ideas for having fun planning your trip together.

  • Check out Junior Ranger Park Explorer to have fun planning a safe trip.
  • Research a site you are interested in on nps.gov. As a family, plan what sites you can visit. Check safety, climate, and visitor center hours, and wildlife information.

Did you know? Not all National Park Service Sites are National Parks! There are also National Historic Sites, National Heritage Areas, National Trails and more! You might have a site near you and not know it.
