Visitor Center Greeter

Volunteers in this position will greet and welcome each visitor coming into the Pullman National Historical Park Visitor Center, perform sales and stock merchandise in the park gift shop; and assist with other light project work. The greeter is often the first and often only personal contact a visitor has in the park.

Requirments:

  • Must be 16 years of age
  • Hours: At least one 4 hour shift per week (some flexibility, please contact Volunteer Coordinator for more information)
  • Assist visitors with planning their visit and answer questions about park exhibits
  • Training and uniform provided

Photography Volunteer

These VIPs will capture photos of Pullman National Historical Park, park staff and visitor interactions, park resources and historic resources over the seasons. The photographer may also attend park special events (both in the park and off-site).The VIP Photographer works with staff to develop a shoot list of needed photos, takes photos, selects and provides images to the park with appropriate metadata (date, location, content, photo-releases etc.).

Requirments:

  • Must be 16 years of age
  • Hours: Flexible; dependent on special events and groups
  • Training and uniform provided

Interpretation Volunteer


Programs are conducted by park staff and volunteers, which may include talks, demonstrations, or hands-on activities. Park interpretive themes and training will be provided to inform the volunteer (VIP) of what information should be shared during each program.

Requirments:

  • Must be 16 years of age
  • Hours: At least one 4 hour shift per week (some flexibility, please contact Volunteer Coordinator for more information)
  • Providing accurate information on park resources, directions, and special park programs
  • Training and uniform provided

Special Event Volunteer


Be a volunteer for our Spring Cleanup (during National Park Week), Fall Cleanup, or Labor Day Celebration! We have a variety of ways in wich you can help out.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Hours: 4 hours or more for one day during the special event
  • Willingness to work outside, rain or shine
  • Training and uniform provided
