Access Pass

There is a free, lifetime America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Access Pass available for U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities. The pass provides admittance into participating federal recreation sites, and a wide range of discounts on activities and services when you visit federal lands. Learn more about the Access Pass.

 

Facilities

The docks at Rainbow Bridge National Monument are made from slats of pressed recycled plastic. They can be slippery when wet. Metal connectors provide an uneven surface. If you arrive in a private boat there are no ramps or steps to assist in exiting your vessel. If you arrive on a tour boat, they have stepstools to aid disembarking the vessel. There are vault toilets on the docks and nowhere else in the Monument. As the docks get closer to shore, there may or may not be shade over the docks, depending on the lake level. At lower lake levels, the docks do not reach the shore. In those cases the only way to reach the trailhead would be to beach your vessel and wade to the trail.

Outdoor Activities

Accessible boat tours to Rainbow Bridge are available. Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas tours include individual audio sets with every tour and are available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Mandarin and Japanese.

After disembarking, there is a trail to the first and second overlooks for Rainbow Bridge. This trail is approximately 1-1/2 miles (2.4 km) one-way and is comprised of sand, rock, concrete, hardpack dirt, and other surfaces going over a variety of elevations. It is not recommended for people with low mobility.
