This summer Rocky Mountain National Park will be offering the following night sky programs:
Astronomy in the Park
Join us at Upper Beaver Meadows Parking Area beginning at 8:30 p.m. for an evening under the stars. The evening kicks off with a ranger-led program, then a team of volunteer astronomers will have telescopes set up and you can look at different features of the night sky.
To get to Upper Beaver Meadows Parking Area, drive down Upper Beaver Meadows Road, located 0.8 miles from the Beaver Meadows Entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Follow the dirt road to the parking area at end, near Upper Beaver Meadows Trailhead.

Stories of the Moon and Stars
The moon and stars have inspired human stories for thousands of years. Join us at the Moraine Park Discover Center Parking Area beginning at 8:30 p.m. for an evening under the stars. This evening program features family activities for participants of all ages and volunteer astronomers will have telescopes set up to look at different features of the night sky.
Moraine Park Discovery Center is located along Bear Lake Road, 1.5 miles from the Beaver Meadows Entrance to RMNP. It is located up the hill and across from the turn for Moraine Park Road.

2024 Astronomy Festival
Mark your calendars for Rocky Mountain National Park's Astronomy Festival on August 2 & 3.
Discover different aspects of the night sky! There will be fun activities for all ages in the afternoon and enjoy our incredible guest speakers each evening. At night, view the night sky through telescopes at Upper Beaver Meadows Parking Area.
