  1. What are the park's hours of operation? The Visitor Education Center is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, except on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

  2. Where is the park located? The park is located in Richmond, California, along the waterfront.

  3. Is there an admission fee? No, admission to the Visitor Education Center and park grounds is free.

  4. What exhibits and programs are available? The park offers exhibits on WWII home front history, guided tours, educational programs, and special events.

  5. Can I bring my pet to the park? Pets are allowed on the park grounds but must be kept on a leash. They are not permitted inside buildings.

  14. When was the park established? Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park was dedicated on October 24, 2000. The Visitor Education Center opened in May 2012, with permanent exhibits installed in May 2014.

  15. Is there a difference between the Rosie the Riveter Memorial and the Visitor Center? Yes, the Rosie the Riveter Memorial is an outdoor public art sculpture located in a City of Richmond park, about one mile east along the San Francisco Bay Trail from the Visitor Center.

  20. Can I bike to the Visitor Education Center? Yes, you can bike via the San Francisco Bay Trail. Bike racks are available outside the building. Bring your locks.

  21. What is inside the large brick building next to the center? The Historic Ford Assembly Building, which produced jeeps during WWII, is now privately owned and houses businesses, manufacturing, a restaurant, and an event space.
