3. Is there an admission fee? No, admission to the Visitor Education Center and park grounds is free.

4. What exhibits and programs are available? The park offers exhibits on WWII home front history, guided tours, educational programs, and special events.

5. Can I bring my pet to the park? Pets are allowed on the park grounds but must be kept on a leash. They are not permitted inside buildings.

6. Are there any picnic areas? Yes, there are designated picnic areas available for visitors.

7. Is the park accessible to people with disabilities? Yes, the park strives to be accessible. The Visitor Education Center and most exhibits are wheelchair accessible.

8. How can I become a Junior Ranger? Junior Ranger booklets are available at the Visitor Education Center. Complete the activities to earn a Junior Ranger badge.

9. Are there guided tours available? Yes, occassionaly guided tours are offered. Check the park's schedule for tour times and availability.

10. Can I volunteer at the park? Yes, the park welcomes volunteers. Visit the park's website or contact the Visitor Education Center for more information.

11. What is the best way to learn about upcoming events? Check the park's website or follow their social media channels for the latest updates on events and programs.

12. Is there parking available? Yes, free parking is available near the Visitor Education Center and other park sites.

13. Can I meet Rosie? Yes, you can meet real "Rosies" who volunteer and share their experiences at the Visitor Education Center. Check the calendar page or contact the visitor center for their availability.

14. When was the park established? Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park was dedicated on October 24, 2000. The Visitor Education Center opened in May 2012, with permanent exhibits installed in May 2014.

15. Is there a difference between the Rosie the Riveter Memorial and the Visitor Center? Yes, the Rosie the Riveter Memorial is an outdoor public art sculpture located in a City of Richmond park, about one mile east along the San Francisco Bay Trail from the Visitor Center.

17. What special programs are offered at the center? The center offers programs on various aspects of the civilian home front. Check the calendar page for the latest schedule. For groups larger than 10, please contact the center to arrange a theater time.

18. Do we have to make reservations for our group to visit? Yes, reservations are appreciated for groups larger than 10 people. Call 510-232-5050 x0 to arrange your visit.

20. Can I bike to the Visitor Education Center? Yes, you can bike via the San Francisco Bay Trail. Bike racks are available outside the building. Bring your locks.

21. What is inside the large brick building next to the center? The Historic Ford Assembly Building, which produced jeeps during WWII, is now privately owned and houses businesses, manufacturing, a restaurant, and an event space.
