Signal Hill Picnic Area.
Saguaro National Park will commence work to repair and improve the Signal Hill Picnic Area in the park's (west) Tucson Mountain District. Work in the area could potentially last until May
The Signal Hill Picnic Area will be closed to all traffic during construction to ensure the safety of park visitors and workers.
During closure periods, there is no public access to the Signal Hill Picnic Area. The road to Signal Hill from the Bajada Loop Drive will remain closed to traffic of all kinds. Please refrain from parking in the road. Do not park in front of barricades; contractors need access during construction.
Visitors may still hike to Signal Hill via the Cactus Wren Trail (approximately 3.6 miles/5.8 km roundtrip) and the Manville Trail (approximately 2.2 miles/3.5 km roundtrip). Please note that parking for these trails is alongside roads outside of the park boundaries. Visitors are urged to park completely out of roadways and cross the roads with care. Please respect closures and stay out of the construction site once at Signal Hill.
Outside of these dates, the Signal Hill parking and picnic area will remain open. Please be mindful of closed areas within the site and equipment even during open periods.
