Virtual Programs

Sequoia and Kings Canyon’s Rangers can come to your classroom virtually! Teachers from across the world can sign up for a free, curriculum-based virtual program for students. Programs engage students in a one-hour virtual program on a variety of park topics. All programs are free and designed with Common Core and Next Generation Science teaching standards. Due to scheduling in-classroom programs, distance eduacation programs are primarily available in December.

Program Topics

  • Up Up and Away (Bats) (K-2nd)
  • The Bear Essentials (K-3rd)
  • Meet Your National Parks (2nd-5th)
  • Life In The Zone (3rd-8th)
  • Explore your Watershed (3rd-8th)
  • A Giants Life - (3rd-6th)
  • Ask a Ranger - You can have us join your class and ask a Ranger about Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks or about being a NPS ranger. If you were already learning about the National Parks or Sequoia Trees in your classrooms, this could be a good start or follow up to that lesson. (Any grade level)
