Spring Operating Hours at Sitka NHP

SITKA, ALASKA – As we move from winter to spring, Sitka NHP’s Visitor Center hours will alter to prepare for the upcoming summer tourist season. Starting Wednesday March 22, the park Visitor Center will be open Wednesday - Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Visitor Center will be closed from April 10, 2023 to April 22, 2023. On April 23, 2023 the Visitor Center will reopen with base hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 7 days a week for the duration of the summer season. These hours might alter through the summer to accommodate special programs or events.

The Russian Bishop’s House will remain closed through April 22, 2023. On April 23, 2023, the Russian Bishop’s House will open for the season. The building will be open 7 days a week for tours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help visitors learn about the building’s significance to the history of Sitka.
