The American Battlefield Protection Program (ABPP) promotes the preservation and interpretation of America's battlefields and sites of conflict. It supports community-driven stewardship of historic resources. Visit the ABPP website to learn about the four types of grants it administers:


State, Tribal, and Local Plans & Grants Division (STLPG) works with State, Territorial, Tribal, and local governments, educational institutions, and non-profits to preserve America's historic places and diverse history. Grants from the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) support a wide variety of activities that enable recipients to protect and share significant cultural resources.
