After You Apply

After Completing a Draft National Historic Landmark Nomination

After completing your draft nomination and submitting it to the National Historic Landmarks Program, it will undergo a process of editorial review before consideration under the National Park Service Adivsory Board National Historic Landmarks Committee. If the Landmarks Committee approves the nomination, the Advisory Board will make a recommendation to the Secretary of the Interior whether to designate the property.

Follow the links to the right of this page to learn more about what happens to your draft nomination after submission.
