Injustice

While the nation mobilized for war and overcame injustice to break barriers, the ingrained injustices of the United States continued. In addition to the unprecedented confinement of over 115,000 Japanese American citizens and the forced relocation of Native American Aleutian Island residents, descrimination against race, sex, sexual orientation, disability and other violations of civil rights continued.
