Revolutionary Timeline (attached); Battle of Cowpens: A Documented narrative and Troop Movements Maps by Edwin C. Bearss.
Procedure
Prior to Battleground Tour: Review Revolutionary timeline (attached)
Read aloud sections of Bearss’ book, The Battle of Cowpens.
Post Fieldtrip:
Students form questions for interviewing the two leaders.
Students perform the interview, having one student as Morgan, and another student as Tarleton.
Questions are to reveal the men’s personal lives as well as their war strategies.
Assessment
Question and answers are to be written out with rubric. Rubric for Presentation.
