Jamestown Rediscovery
A trip to Jamestown is not complete without visiting the Nathalie P. & Alan M. Voorhees Archaearium, Historic Jamestowne’s award-wining archaeology museum. The museum features more than 4,000 artifacts recovered from the James Fort site since the beginning of the Jamestown Rediscovery project in 1994. The exhibits are updated periodically to reflect recent archaeological discoveries, so even those who have visited previously are likely to find something new!
Admission
Visiting the Archaearium is included with the purchase of any admission ticket to Historic Jamestowne, with the exception of school groups. Educators wishing to learn more about seeing the Archaearium with school groups should visit the educational tour opportunities page.
Location
The Archaearium is on the western side of the main historical area (toward the right after crossing the footbridge from the Visitor Center). Located beyond the fort site, it is approximately 1/2 of a mile walk from the Visitor Center.
