Become a Desert Ranger

For the 'not-so-Junior-Ranger,' or those looking for a challenge, the free Desert Ranger program allows the young-at-heart to earn their Desert Ranger patch. Desert Ranger booklets are available at the Kris Eggle Visitor Center. Activities include a ‘Find-the-Cristate’ activity, learning about desert safety, and activities to help you engage with our visitor center exhibits. Upon completing the Desert Ranger Guide, Desert Ranger candidates must return to the Kris Eggle Visitor Center where their Guide will be reviewed by a ranger. Once the review is completed, they will be sworn in as an official Desert Ranger. They will also receive a free patch and signed Desert Ranger Certificate.
