Hike the Rito de los Indios Trail

The Rito de los Indios Trail is a 7.8-mile (12.6 km) hike that climbs gently up to the northern boundary of the preserve. This trail follows a creek, passes an old cabin from the ranching era, and terminates just beyond a beautiful, hidden valley.

Location
Rito de los Indios Trailhead
The Rito de los Indios Trailhead is a locked cable gate marked VC13 on the north side of the road, about 2.6 miles east of the T-junction. Park in the small dirt pull-out adjacent to the trailhead along the road. Backcountry vehicle permit required.
