The walking tour can start at any point, but three trail anchors exist at the Wing Luke Museum, Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, and the Japanese Cultural & Community Center of Washington.

The tour is offered as a self-paced or guided tour that leads visitors through International District in downtown Seattle, and walking maps are located at the trail anchors. The walking tour follows existing city routes and makes stops at 42 sites along the way.
