Oak Ridge: Visit the K-25 History Center

NPS/KLEIN
The K-25 complex in Oak Ridge was so vital to the success of the Manhattan Project that it gets its own on-site museum! The K-25 History Center, operated by the American Museum of Science and Energy, houses over 250 artifacts in a 7,500 square foot space related to the revolutionary role K-25 played from the Manhattan Project through the Cold War. Hundreds of oral histories from former K-25 employees were compiled over a ten-year period to add to the wealth of information within the museum.
