Relax and enjoy the beautiful expansive view of the surrounding landscape.This picnic site is only accessible when the Loop Road Gate is opened (typically around late May-late October). Check the website for current conditions or call before your visit to ask a ranger for more information. There are no trash cans on-site. Help preserve the beauty of the landscape by making sure to pack out what you packed in.

The Katahdin Loop Road Overlook has a vault toilet and several picnic tables. There is a step up to use the vault toilet. Vehicles will park in a dirt and gravel parking area. The ground surface of the overlook may be uneven with rocks, grass, and gravel.
