Museum Exhibits
Learn about the workers who helped create the memorial and the tools they used. Find out who Gutzon Borglum was and why he chose to carve four presidents in the Black Hills. Watch the 14-minute park film showing every 20 minutes throughout the day. Other exhibits help you to learn about the four presidents carved on Mount Rushmore, the history of the United States and the dedication celebrations held throughout the memorial's history.

The Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center opens at 8:00 a.m. daily. From June to mid-August the visitor center closes at 10:00 p.m. From mid-August through September 30 the visitor center closes at 9:00 p.m. From October 1 through late May the visitor center closes at 5:00 p.m.

The Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center is wheelchair accessible. Assisted listening devices are available at the information desk. The park film is captioned. Information in Braille and large print is available on request at the information desk.
Service dogs, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, are permitted to accompany visitors with disabilities in the Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center.
