The National Park Service’s Recreation Fee Program supports the NPS mission in a variety of ways. Fee Program employees not only collect fees, but they also perform activities related to resource stewardship, visitor facility improvements, education and visitor use management. Fees are used to fund projects that address deferred maintenance needs, provide new visitor programs and services, protect resources, and improve and rehabilitate facilities for visitors.
Entrance fees at Vicksburg National Military Park cover entry to the park and are valid for seven days.
Entrance passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, will not be replaced if lost or stolen and will be void if altered or reproduced.
Do you already own a pass? Vicksburg Military National Park honors the Interagency annual and lifetime passes that are valid at multiple national park and federal sites.
This pass admits the driver and all passengers in a private, non-commercial vehicle to the park. In-person Purchase Locations

America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – Senior Pass – Cost $20 for yearly pass, or $80 for lifetime pass. These passes are for U. S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over. The pass provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity. The pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas, (children under 16 are admitted free). The pass can be obtained in person at the park. In some cases where Expanded Amenity Fees are charged, only the pass holder will be given the 50 percent reduction.
America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – Access Pass – Free. This is a lifetime pass for U. S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities. You must be prepared to sign a statement iditcating your residency and permanent disability. The pass provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity. The pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder + 3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas, (children under 16 are admitted free). The pass can only be obtained in person any park that issues interagency passes.
America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass - Volunteer Pass - Free. This pass is for volunteers acquiring 250 service hours on a cumulative basis and has the same benefits as the America The Beautiful Annual Pass.
America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass - Military Pass - Free. The Annual Pass for Military is a free pass for all active military personnel and their dependents. Active military personnel and their dependents qualify for this benefit. Military Members - In order to qualify for the Annual Pass - Military, the military member must present the following: Department of Defense ID (CAC Card) that verifies that the person is an active member of the U.S. military. Dependents - In order to qualify for the pass, the dependent of a military member must present the following: Department of Defense ID (DD Form 1173) that identifies the dependent and his/her sponsor. How Does the Park Use Entrance Fees?Vicksburg National Military Park participates in the congressionally authorized Federal Recreation Lands Enhancement Act. Under this program, Vicksburg keeps 100% of all fees collected. Funds generated by the fees are used to accomplish projects the parks have been unable to fund through annual Congressional allocations. Entrance fees help support projects in the monument to improve the experience for visitors. |
