WILTON/RIDGEFIELD - Sonja Haroldson is a full-time artist, living and working in New York out of her home studio. Haroldson’s body of work includes sculptures, drawings, and paintings in various mediums. Her recent work includes intimate interior scenes inspired by daily life where her apartment, partner, and personal objects serve as her muse.

“Through graphite drawings, gouache studies and oil paintings, I investigate my surroundings in many different color languages. I primarily focus on geometric interpretations of the world, lending itself well to the architecture surrounding me in New York City, “says Haroldson. “I am interested in seeing how immersion in a more natural environment would fit into the way I visually interpret the world, or if that immersion will change my relationship with geometry. Weir Farm has attracted so many artists of all different styles and mediums, and from the galleries of artwork you can see that no matter how many times a place has been painted, it still has stories to tell. I am eager to add my voice to the mix.”
