WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Whitman Mission National Historic Site will host cultural resource educator Tom Bailor for a fiber arts demonstration on June 22 and August 10 from 1:00 – 2:30 pm.
Tom Bailor will give programs on tule, a native water reed used by Native Peoples of the Columbia Plateau and provide hands-on demonstrations in which participants can create a tule duck decoy to take home with them. These demonstrations will take place at the Whitman Mission Visitor Center and are free and open to the public. No reservations are required.
Tom Bailor is a cultural resource educator with a background in archeology and education. He specializes in field and experimental archeological education.
