The parks visitor center contains a large museum collection, a twenty-eight minute film, an eight-minute fiber optics troop movement map program and a bookstore/gift shop. In compliance with ADA standards, assisted listening devices are available for use with the orientation film. The Struggle for Missouri Begins FilmWilson's Creek: The Struggle for Missouri Begins broke new ground in authenticity, featuring thousands of re-enactors captured on the actual battlefield at Wilson's Creek, staged for the 130th Anniversary in 1991. Public ProgramsPrograms including Civil War medicine, guided walks, caravan tours and living depicting Civil War soldier and civilian life, musket and artillery firing demonstrations, and many others are presented regularly from Memorial Day to Labor Day on selected weekends (subject to staff and volunteer availability).
