Educational groups are always welcome at Wright Brothers National Memorial and there are several ways to experience the park that will work for your group and your schedule.
  • You can use our experiential curriculum-based lesson plans and other site information found on our website to take your group on a self-guided tour of the park. It is suggested that groups rotate between the camp building, the hangar, the monument atop Kill Devil Hill, the 1903 sculpture on the backside of the hill, and the visitor center.
  • If time is limited, we recommend driving to the 1903 sculpture and then walking up to the base of the monument.
  • Daily ranger programs are also available at scheduled times and vary depending on the season.
  • Based on staffing levels, a Park Ranger may also be available to offer a program for your group. Please contact us if you have questions or would like to request a ranger program.
