Guide Information Registration and Park Entry Protocol

CUA Holders are required to submit Guide names and certifications via the Guide List Form

• Guides are authorized to operate in the park once their names and certifications have been submitted. Guide cards are no longer a requirement.

• Guides must possess current certification/training requirements for respective activity categories as shown in the chart below.

• CPR/First Aid/ Wilderness First Aid/ Wilderness First Responder/ Emergency Medical Technician certification cards anddriver's licenses must be carried at all times while operating in the park (digital copies will suffice).

• The Park will complete spot checks of guide certifications throughout the year as part of the Administrative and Field Monitoring Plan.

1. When arriving at entry stations, guides must have the following items/information ready to provide to entrance station rangers.

   • Hard copy of page one of your Commercial Use Authorization

   • Number of clients who are 16 and older

   • Payment/passes for client's entrance fees

2. Fees and Passes for CUA Operators

   • Guides leading trips or providing staff training do not pay an entrance fee.

   • Guides may not use their personal annual pass to cover entry fees for clients.

   • Clients 16 and older are required to pay $20 per individual Fees & Passes or may use an America The Beautiful Pass (senior, annual pass, military, etc.) to cover their entrance fee.

   • Individual passes can be pre-purchased at Recreation.gov
