Michael "Mic" Dahl was Missing Since Saturday, March 21 Missing visitor, Michael "Mic" Dahl, was found alive this morning, at approximately 11:00 a.m., in Yosemite National Park. He was spotted by visitors on the Yosemite Valley Loop Trail. The visitors recognized him from the missing persons flyer. Dahl was found approximately a quarter mile east of the Lower Yosemite Fall trail, in a large boulder field below Sunnyside Bench. Dahl sustained multiple injuries and is being transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance. Dahl was reported missing by a group of friends on Saturday night, March 21, 2015, after a short hike to Lower Yosemite Fall. His last known location was at the base of Lower Yosemite Fall in Yosemite Valley. Approximately 50 search and rescue crew members have been searching for him since the initial report was received. The park received assistance from, and would like to thank, Madera, Tuolumne, Mariposa, and Marin County Search and Rescue and the Auburn office of California Highway Patrol. |
