Update: Wildland Firefighters continue to address Kolob Terrace Fire

SPRINGDALE, UT – Approximately 40 wildland firefighters continue to fight off the 24-acre Kolob Terrace Fire, in Hop Valley, Zion National Park.
Initial reports indicate the fire started from lightning. The Kolob Terrace road is currently open and not effected by the fire. Hop Valley Trail is closed due to the wildfire.

On July 23, 2024, at approximately 3 p.m., a local resident reported a fire in Hop Valley, Zion National Park. Fire officials encourage visitors to continue following fire restrictions in place in the park and be careful in this dry climate.
