Seniors, military, visitors with a permanent disability, and families with a 4th grader are eligible for a free or discounted America the Beautiful pass. Glen Canyon National Recreation Area currently charges $30 per week per passenger vehicle and an expanded amenity fee for motorized vessels.
While Horseshoe Bend Overlook is located in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, the parking lot is located in the City of Page. They do not accept America the Beautiful or Glen Canyon passes for parking.

"Personal Water Craft (PWC)" from 36 CFR 1.4: Personal watercraft refers to a vessel, less than 16 feet in length, which uses an inboard, internal combustion engine powering a water jet pump as its primary source of propulsion. The vessel is intended to be operated by a person or persons sitting, standing or kneeling on the vessel, rather than within the confines of the hull.
Automated Fee Machine
When a fee booth is closed, you can pay your entrance fee to the automated fee machine on site. If you have experienced difficulties with an automated fee machine and have reason to believe it will result in unwarranted or incorrect charges to your credit card, please call us at 928-608-6200.
Horseshoe Bend Parking
While Horseshoe Bend Overlook is located in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, the parking lot is located in the City of Page. The city requires visitors to pay for parking at the Horseshoe Bend trailhead. They do not accept America the Beautiful or Glen Canyon passes for parking. Contact the City of Page for questions about the parking at Horseshoe Bend at their website.
Special Park Uses
Some activities require a special use permit. Examples include commercial photography and filming, fishing tournaments, weddings and other large group gatherings, and 1st Amendment activities (public assemblies, demonstrations, etc.). To find out more, visit our special use permit page.
Charles Hall Ferry
Entrance fees do not include ferry charges. For more information on the ferry between Halls Crossing and Bullfrog on State Hwy 276, call the Utah Department of Transportation in state at 511 or out of state at 1-866-511-UTAH, 435-893-4747, or visit the UDOT website.
Camping Fees
Glen Canyon offers developed campgrounds, primitive campgrounds and beach camping. Details about each campground available on the Camping page.
Camping is limited to 14 consecutive days and 30 days total per season.
Camping is not subject to fee waivers. A 50% discount applies to holders of the Senior or Access Pass. The holder of the pass must occupy the discounted site.
Backcountry camping in the Orange Cliffs area of Glen Canyon requires a backcountry permit from Canyonlands National Park.
No camping is permitted at Rainbow Bridge National Monument.
