Choosing an Entrance Pass

Do you have or qualify for a discounted America the Beautiful Pass?

If you already have an America the Beautiful—the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass, that's the only entrance pass you need. Seniors, military, visitors with a permanent disability, and families with a 4th grader are eligible for a free or discounted America the Beautiful pass.

Admits one individual when entering by foot or bicycle. Groups of up to 4 people walking in or on bicycles are capped at $20 total. Individuals 15 years old and younger are admitted free of charge.

Organized Non-Commercial Groups include church groups, college/school groups, scouts, service organizations, military, etc. Vehicles with a capacity of 16 or less are charged the $20.00 vehicle permit fee. Vehicles with 17 or more seats will instead be charged the $10 per person individual rate for any passengers that are not free. The total fee charged for an Organized Non-Commercial Group will not exceed $100 per vehicle.

America the Beautiful Passes are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Passholders must show valid photo identification (ID) with each pass.

2024 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

• Monday, January 15 — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
• Saturday, April 20 — First Day of National Park Week
• Wednesday, June 19 — Juneteenth
• Sunday, August 4 — The Great American Outdoors Act
• Saturday, September 28 — National Public Lands Day
• Monday, November 11 — Veterans Day

 

Physical Passes for Cabrillo National Monument as well as all other Physical Passes for the National Park Service are available at the Entrance Station.

 

Admission to Cabrillo National Monument includes both the Tidepools and Lighthouse/Statue areas.

• No refunds are given due to inclement weather or high tides. Your pass is valid for 7 days.
• Preferred payment method is Credit/Debit (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express). Cash is only accepted in limited circumstances.
• Checks can be used, but a Tax I.D. or social security number is required.
• Receipts and electronic scanned images including photographs of passes are NOT valid for entry. All passes must be physically presented at the Entrance Station. The Cabrillo Annual Park Pass is the only pass that can be purchased online from Recreation.gov and presented digitally to the Entrance Station.

Cabrillo National Monument Annual Pass - $35 (U.S. Dollars)

Purchase a digital version of this pass online, before your visit.

Annual pass providing free entrance to Cabrillo National Monument for 12 months from the date of purchase. Admits one single, private, non-commercial vehicle and all its passengers or a group of 4 entering by foot or bicycle.

• Cabrillo National Monument Motorcycle Permit - $15 (U.S. Dollars)

All holders of America the Beautiful Interagency Passes, Cabrillo Passes, and those under 16 years of age will be exempt from payment of fees. Passes allow free entrance to individual pass holders under the conditions stated on the pass.

Vehicles with a capacity of 16 or less are charged the $20.00 vehicle permit fee. Vehicles with 17 or more seats will instead be charged the $10 per person individual rate for any passengers that are not free. The total fee charged for an Organized Non-Commercial Group will not exceed $100 per vehicle.
