An entrance pass is not required to access Agate Fossil Beds National Monument.

Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.

2024 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees, including timed entry or reservation fees, may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

• Monday, January 15 — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
• Saturday, April 20 — First Day of National Park Week
• Wednesday, June 19 — Juneteenth
• Sunday, August 4 — The Great American Outdoors Act
• Saturday, September 28 — National Public Lands Day
• Monday, November 11 — Veterans Day

 

Agate Fossil Beds is a fee-free park site!

Agate Fossil Beds National Monument does not charge entrance or use fees. 

 

"Find Your Park" With an America the Beautiful Inter-agency Pass
While Agate Fossil Beds National Monument is a fee-free National Park Service site, many of our fellow parks, monuments and other federal lands do require an entrance fee or pass.

Visiting a site more than once? Or making a National Parks road trip to fill up your passport? An annual pass may be a good option! These work in National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers sites.

National Park Service sites which charge entrance fees have these passes available for purchase. Check out the national main passes webpage for cost and availability of these programs.

• Senior Pass -both Annual and Lifetime (not offered at Agate)
• Annual Pass - Military (Free - offered at Agate)
• Lifetime Pass - Veteran (Free - offered at Agate)
• Fourth Grade "Every Kid Outdoors" Pass (Free - offered at Agate)
• Access Pass (Free - offered at Agate)
• Volunteer Pass (Earned when do 250 hours of volunteer work within a year)

 

The Every Kid Outdoors pass is available for fourth grade students.

Every Kid Outdoors Pass

Hey fourth graders! You and your families can see America's wonderous parks, forests and waterways for free! Fourth graders, their parents or educators can sign up for the pass at the national program website everykidoutdoors.com and printing a paper voucher. Exchange the paper voucher for a plastic card at public lands that issue other passes. You must do the activity then print the paper voucher at home first. Then, bring the paper voucher to Agate Fossil Beds to get your plastic card.
