| Notes: He was born in Mexico in March, 1717. As a missionary, he first went to Texas. Then due to broken health he returned to the College of Querétaro where he became vicar. He served as a missionary in Michoacán and then in 1767 was appointed president of the missions of the Pimería Alta. He first went to Tubutama but moved to Ures before the end of 1768. He asked to retire in 1771 because of failing health and died on September 15, 1772 at the Real de San Antonio de la Huerta and is buried in the church at Ures. |
