LOWER CONFLUENCE DIAGRAM

May 2007

Archaeologists record the location of and describe each architectural detail they uncover during an excavation. This includes hearths, ventilator shafts, flagstone floors, and any other evidence that may relate to the specific design or use of a structure. This diagram shows an overlay of an archaeologist’s field notes on a photo of the actual room itself.
