Get ready for three concerts at Fort Dupont!

WASHINGTON — Just in time for sweater weather, Fort Dupont Park will host three free concerts in October. Music lovers will find themselves nestled in between the fall foliage as they enjoy live performances at the historic Fort Dupont Park outdoor amphitheater. Every Saturday starting Oct. 7 through Oct. 21, bring your chairs and blankets for an evening filled with family fun and free live music starting at 4 p.m. 

Save the dates for this year's lineup of local, regional and national R&B, hip-hop, jazz and go-go musicians:  

Saturday, Oct. 7 - Jazz and R&B

Saturday, Oct. 14 - Go-Go

  • NEG (Northeast Groovers)

Saturday, Oct. 21 - Honoring 50 years of Hip-Hop   

  • Noochie  
  • Nonchalant   
  • The Alumni (Chubb Rock, Kwame, Monie Love, Dana Dane, Greg Nice)  
  • DJ Roblove 


These free events, hosted live at Fort Dupont’s outdoor amphitheater, invite Washington area residents across generations to enjoy incredible music from national, regional and local artists. The National Park Service continues to honor the series’ tradition of bringing people together for culture, community and connection. You won’t want to miss this year's lineup of talented musicians.   

Gates open at 3 p.m. and live performances are from 4 to 7 p.m. for all concerts. The concerts are free and open to the public.  

Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and food. Pets on a leash are also welcome. 

Prohibited items: 

  • Grills and open flames 
  • Glass bottles 
  • Coolers larger than 29.5” x 16” x 19” 
  • Alcoholic beverages or illegal substances 
  • Any weapons

Can’t make it to this year’s concerts? Fort Dupont Park is open year-round and offers opportunities for all ages and interests including birding, wildlife viewing, photography, picnics and volunteering.
