About the Artist

Deborah Ford is a retired Executive Director of PLAYA; a residency program for artists involved with research in Oregon. She studied photography at Minneapolis College of Art & Design, Arizona State University, and Goddard Gollege. She taught for 19 years at Prescott College in Northern Arizona.

In addition to her Isle Royale residency from July 1st to July 16th, 2003, she has also been awarded residencies at Joshua Tree, Sitka Center for Art & Ecology, Biosphere 2, Ucross Foundation, Aspen Guard Station, and several more. You can learn more about Deborah on her personal webpage.
