More about this reservation
If you wish to browse in the Museum and Visitor Center, there is no entrance fee. When park visitors 16 and up buy tram or movie tickets, $3.00 of their ticket price goes to the National Park Service (entrance fee). Therefore, if visitors have an America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass, they do not have to pay that $3.00 fee and they effectively get a $3.00 "discount" on the tram ride to the top and the documentary movie.

2024 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

Spring and summer are busy times at the Arch. Sometimes we sell out of tram tickets to the top. Reserve your spot in advance online or by calling toll-free 877-982-1410.

On Fee Free Days periodically throughout the year, the NPS does not collect that $3.00 entance fee on the ticket price, so every visitor gets the $3.00 "discount" on the Tram Ride to the Top and the documentary movie. The Museum Under the Gateway Arch is always free for all visitors and does not require a ticket or an entry fee.

Due to security measures at the Gateway Arch, all visitors to the Arch must pass through an airport style security checkpoint. No weapons - including firearms, fixed-blade knives, pepper spray, mace or electronic weapons - are allowed.

During summer and school holidays, lines may become long throughout the day, so we recommend you arrive early.

Groups of 20 or more may call in advance for reservations. For pricing and group reservations, call toll free at (voice) 1-877-982-1410

Free ranger-led tours are given on a regular schedule both outside on the Arch grounds and inside the museum. Arrangements for special ranger-led tours can be made in advance by calling 1-877-982-1410.
