Located approximately 45 minutes northwest of Knoxville and 2.5 hours east of Nashville, the City of Oak Ridge rests within the narrow valleys and wooded hills of East Tennessee. Directions to our visitor center by car

Take I-40 West toward Nashville. Take exit 376-A to merge onto TN-162 N/Pellissippi Parkway. Follow Hwy 162 for 5 miles (8 km) and veer left onto Highway 62 toward Oak Ridge. Continue on Hwy 62, Illinois Avenue, for 6 miles (10 km). Turn right onto West Outer Drive. The Manhattan Project Visitor Center is on the right 1 mile (2 km), located inside the Children's Museum of Oak Ridge. This is an approximately 45 minute drive. 

When you arrive in Oak Ridge, the Manhattan Project Visitor Center is located within the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge at:

Take I-40 East toward Knoxville. Take exit 356, Highway 58/Gallaher Road, toward Oak Ridge. Continue on Highway 58 to Highway 95, Oak Ridge Turnpike. In Oak Ridge turn left onto Highway 62, Illinois Avenue. Turn right onto West Outer Drive. The Manhattan Project Visitor Center is on the right 1 mile (2 km), located inside the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge. This is an approximately 2.5 hour drive. 

When you arrive in Oak Ridge, the Manhattan Project Visitor Center is located within the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge at:
