The Stage Road Monument marks the historic road used by the Loyalist and the Patriots to make their way to the Battle of Moores Creek Bridge. Side note the “Stage Road” is not historically appropriate name for the time period of the battle. Some accounts have it listed as the “Black River Road.” This Monument was placed in the park in 1911 by the Moores Creek Monumental Association.
