Plate XXXI. Old Powder Magazine and Sundial at
Fort Chipewyan, 1927.
Although a wooden structure, this magazine in size, shape, and roof
detail reflected the style of the small, but more substantial, stone
powder houses at a number of Company posts. Note the typical ball
ornament at the peak of the roof.
