Formal Education Programs

Petroglyph National Monument prepares and presents formal curriculum-based programs that incorporate the monument's interpretive themes into your lesson plan. Themes include New Mexico's cultural and natural resources, the geologic and human history of Albuquerque, and the National Park Service.

Types of Educational Programs

Rangers at Petroglyph National Momument offer a variety of programs, from formal Ranger-led fieldtrips to Traveling Trunks that can be presented in classrooms. All programs are desinged to meet Core and State Standards. 

These interpretive themes are the building blocks that connect students to the park's resources. Educational programs can be presented by a park ranger at the monument or in your classroom. Learn more about our educational opportunities for your students.
