Have you ever looked at features of the night sky using a telescope? As part of Rocky Mountain National Park's Astronomy Festival, enjoy looking at our moon, stars, and more on both the east and west sides of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Telescope Viewing - West Side of RMNP

August 2 & 3, 2024 - Beginning at 9 p.m.

Grand Astronomy Viewing

Join the Grand Astronomy Club at Grand Lake Library beginning at 9 p.m.. Enjoy an "out of this world" observation session. Telescopes will be set up. From globular clusters to galaxies, look through space to see our cosmic neighbors near and far.

Telescope Viewing - East Side of RMNP

August 2 & 3, 2024 - Beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Telescope Viewing at Upper Beaver Meadows

Join us at Upper Beaver Meadows Parking Area for an evening under the stars. The evening kicks off at 8:30 p.m. with a ranger-led program. Following the program, a team of volunteer astronomers with have telescopes set up and you can look at different features of the night sky.

To get to Upper Beaver Meadows Parking Area, drive down Upper Beaver Meadows Road, located 0.8 miles from the Beaver Meadows Entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Follow the dirt road to the parking area at end, near Upper Beaver Meadows Trailhead.
