Welcome to Stonewall National Monument! Stonewall NM preserves the history of the Stonewall Uprisings, which marks the catalyst for the advancement of civil rights in the United States.

Visitor Center Hours

The Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center is open Tuesday - Sunday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. For more information, please see the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center website.

Christopher Park Hours

Christopher Park is open all year, though its hours vary seasonally.

May 1 - October 30
7 AM - 8 PM
November 1 - April 30
7 AM - 5 PM

Reservations

Reservations for most ranger programs are not required, except for educational programming.

Fees and Passes

The Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center and the National Monument itself are fee-free and do not require a pass to visit. We do not sell any form of park passes at Stonewall National Monument.

Accessibility

Christopher Park is paved with brick. The main entrance is on Fourth Street and is wheelchair accessible. The Visitor Center is also wheelchair accessible.

Directions and Transportation

Stonewall National Monument and the Visitor Center are located on Christopher Street, between 7th Avenue and Waverly Place. View a map of Stonewall NAtional Monument here.

To get here using the Subway, you can:

• Take the 1 and get off at the Christopher Street-Sheridan Square stop
• Take the A, C, E, B, D, F or M and get off at the W4 St-Washington Square stop

If you are driving, there is limited street parking in the neighborhoods surrounding the Stonewall.
